2000 mac headers on 2001 is it possible???

2000 mac headers on 2001 is it possible??? a buddy of mine wants to sell me his midlengths with y pipe for a steal, only problem is i know that the headers are diff for both years for egr, is there any possible way to modify the headers so that they will still work the 2001, and what modifications would i have to do? thanks in advance guys!

I run a 99 design header on my car, the tubes can be bent to work, or you can pickup a set of 98-99 tubes at the dealer.

Re: 2000 mac headers on 2001 is it possible??? Or just take the whole EGR off. I have a 2000 z28 and i have the 2001-2002 headers on my car. I took off the AIR tubes, EGR and also the Air compressor thingy. The only thing is that the headers rub a little bit on my steering column. No Biggie

We both recieved the same set of macs at the same time.I installed both and had to bend the tubes on both installs and I built a block off plate for the missing tube on the 2001.I just took the tubes off and put them in a vice, bent them carefully and tried them till the fit.I think it took me longer to find what I wanted to use for the block off plate.Not really a big deal though.Go for the good deal <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
