Default Steering link removal questions.

What do I need to do to remove it just to swing it out of the way? There's a small bolt at the top that attaches to the shaft going through the firewall AND there's one at the other end right by the pump.

Which one works best and does it just slide off the shaft from there?

Other than the WARNING on the link that says not to rotate the steering shaft after it's removed, is there any other WARNINGS I should know so as not to set off my airbags???

Thanks <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Remove both bolts. The bottom one will especially tough, but keep working at it; it will eventually get a little looser. Then, pull the shaft upwards toward you, kinda like your pulling it out of its socket from the BOTTOM end. Then pull it out from the fitting by the connection nearest the firewall.

Thanks! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I'm trying to swap out a k-member but I'm having trouble getting to the top front bolt on the motor mount.

I thought it might be a little easier if I had that link out of the way and removed from the rack when I drop the k-member.

No problems with the airbag system???
