Bullet install and hacking off stock muffler?

Bullet install and hacking off stock muffler? I dont have needed funds at the moment to do a full catback install. I have a 99 Z-28 a4. I have read some sketchy posts on people who just take off the stock muffler and put a Dynomax Bullet on and pick up some pretty good gains. Im just looking for a cheap alternative till I go LT's and xpipe setup.

Go to page 2 of my site and read all about it.
Mine was $140. That INCLUDED parts, shipping, and professional install.
On my site I have some links to sound clips and install pics.
Also, this is the only cat-back you need. I have dynoed with cars that have cat-backs costing many times what mine did and they didn't pull any more power than I did.

Re: Bullet install and hacking off stock muffler? I currently have stock manifolds with Gutted cats and the stock IM pipe with the muffler cut off and a 3" turndown just after the axle exiting behind the pass. side rear tire.

Re: Bullet install and hacking off stock muffler? Thats the same thing I did. But since I have a 98, it only came with one tail pipe. $30 for the muffler and $10 for two welds. It may not sound mean at idle, but at WOT people will run away from you!
