Magnaflow..... I have been hearing alot of good things about magnaflow lately. I had decided to go with just a flowmaster muffler and not blow half my saving to spend on my car by buying gmmg(which sounds awsome)Can anyone compare the two....I wouldnt mind something being a little louder than flowmaster but dont want anything quieter. When crusing which one is louder and also how much do the tone sound alike?

Re: Magnaflow..... I have the Magnaflow muffler on my car and my friend has the Flowmaster, I think his is a little louder than mine, but at WOT, I think mine sounds better (my opinion). It is pretty quiet on the interstate, but it really has gotten a little louder after having it on the car for a few months. I like it, and I have read several places that Magnaflow mufflers flow high numbers and Flowmasters don't flow that well at all. The Magnaflow is a very deep and clean sound, the Flowmaster sounds kind of hollow to me. Good luck choosing.

Re: Magnaflow..... i know that magnaflow has a muffler design called the magnapacks and right now ive only heard it on stangs and its pretty loud and has a nice crisp clean sound, pops and burbles too. I just hope they adopt that design to our cars
Re: Magnaflow..... I have been trying to tell you for awhile now that for 850.00 I have my entire exhaust complete from headers to turndowns and it is one of the loudest best flowing setups there is. If you want to listen to it just let me know. My car should be back together by Saturday night. Getting 4.10's installed.

PEWTER i also forgot to tell you to PM me for a price. also i konw excally where your comming from on this exhaust ordeal, and also growing up and going to high school in augusta crusiing washington and what not, i feel like the loudmouth is the kinda set up you want. nearly everytime i go out crusing i will get some compliments on the exhaust.

I was laid off back in October so obviously all plans are on indefinate hold, but LT's & true duals is what I want and I'll get around to it sooner or later.

Re: Magnaflow..... The thing that I want though is when I am crusing around town when I am riding by everyone knows my exhaust isnt stock. And for it to have a real clean deep tone to it. I dont really care how loud it is when I nail it as long as it has NO rasp to it! Thanks for your help.

Re: Magnaflow..... I don't know what else is on your car but, my car sounds like the world is coming to an end w/my Magnaflow set-up. LOUD, it scares children and small animals. At Start up you would not want to be in my garage. 0 rasp 0 drone. No flame intended but, if anybody tells you the LM doesn't do both they are lying or deaf. I had one and gave it away. Sorry. I like SLP products and it flows well but thats all I can say about that noise maker.

Ill be in jackson tonite from prolly 7:30 to 9:30 school night have to be home a little early..i live about and hour and a half away from jackson <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> . But Ill be in a pewter 99 trans am..and some people I am coming with are in a 95 formual with 18's. Ill prolly can you when we gett out of school next week cause I be coming to augusta pretty often.
