Default LS6 D-shaped exhaust ports

Does anyone make headers that are port-matched to the "D" shaped exhaust ports of the LS6 cylinder head? Do the stock Z06 Corvette exhaust manifolds have "D" shaped ports? My searches have only revealed that the "D" shape resulted from a discovery that raising the floor of the port improved flow. There can't be anything magical about a "D" shape. At any given point along its path, the gas only cares about cross-sectional area; it can't tell what shape that area is. The designers of the LS6 head must have intended that there would be a smooth transition into the exhaust system. Is this typically accomplished by "rounding" the exhaust ports? What do you meticulous guys do about this?

TIA Gary

GARY, THE STOCK EXHAUST MANIFOLDS ON THE LS6 HAVE OVAL EXHAUST PORTS NOT D-SHAPED. WE CAN BUILD YOU A SET FOR YOUR CORVETTE IF YOU WISH.
