I got a Fernco coupler and it doesn't exactly fit.....
I baught a 3x3 fernco last night at home depot and can't exactly get her to fit onto the throttle body. Should I have gotten a 4x3? or is there a certain way to put it on.

The first couple of times you put it on, until it is 'trained', it will be very tight fitting on the TB.
I put a light coat of oil inside mine, then gentley twisted as I pushed it on. It went fairly good.
Good luck

My Fernco is 3x3" and it fits fine now. It was somewhat tricky at first. The microwave works wonders! Heat it up and put it on real fast. It'll cool and form the way you need it to...sort of.

Try heating it up. Use a heat gun or hairdryer. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: I got a Fernco coupler and it doesn't exactly fit.....
I was also in that dilemma and it wouldn't fit well around the TB. I also noticed that if i got it to fit on the TB properly, the Fernco would sit flat and at no angle. This is not good for our cars. It needs a little bit of an angle to nicely attach to the mass air flow sensor.
Here's what i did with the Fernco:
I took the fernco and using an ordinary sharp knife started trimming one end of it on the inside to make the diameter a bit larger. I went about 1/2-1" inside the tube. After i test fit it, i noticed the angle and realized that it would really be hard to put the mass air flow sensor and the rest of the intake on there. So i fit it at an angle, then i saw that when it's sitting at an angle, only 1/4" of the fernco tube is actually sitting on the throttle body on the bottom. So i cut the fernco at the appropriate angle and I put it on like that. Very snug fit. there is equal amount of the fernco sitting all around the throttle body. It should look something like what I poorly drew in photoshop below:

Hope this helped more than confused you!
I will try and take pictures of it tomorrow in the daytime.
