Default Plug Wires

I need some new plug wires, are there any better then the others? What are most of you guys running. Would it be a good idea to up grade since I need them. Im running an STS kit so I figure it may help a bit.

They are all pretty much the same. I would just get whichever ones come in the color you want and are fairly cheap. Accell, taylors, MSD, are all good wires as are the stock GM wires.

Taylor sells a set that is 10.4 mm thick are they really needed.

The 10.4 refers to the outer insulation, not the size of the conductor inside the wire, that being said the thicker outer insulation will help the wire to last longer if it comes in contact with something hot enough to melt the insulation.
The stock wires are fine, if you want to change them it's primarily for looks rather than an improvement in performance.

LS2 wires here. They have a 90* bend on the end for the plug.
