Default Plug wire and header clearance...

Last night I just finished my long tube install, and one of wires on the driver side sits up on the header.

now should i worry about that or can the boot handle the heat?

I just reused my stock boot protectors (the metal casings).

What kinda plug wires are they? Sometimes you can turn the plug boot on the coil so tha it points away from the problem area on the primary tube. This causes it to pull the sparkplug boot away from the header tube.

There are some sparkplug boot socks you could buy to be sure about it. You can also get some insulation stuff and wrap it around them too.

I had the same problem as well with the MSD's. I am most likely going to reuse the stockers.

well the plug boot has a raised MSD logo so the stocker metal boots will not fit, but only the one plug wire is resting on the header, and after my 15min run time it didnt seem like a problem...

You should be fine, just keep an eye on them. You can take the metal sleeves off of the stock wires, pull the spring out, and slide it all the way over that raised MSD logo thing. This will help it a bit.

Just as TheBlur said. I run the MSDs and pulled the springs out, then slid the shields up and they stay in place.
