Default kooks or QTP?

Ok as of lately it seems people are having problems with the fitment of their QTP long tubes and it seems to be taking forever for them to be delivered so i was wondering if there was anything i am missing because with these recent issues it seems worth the extra $40 to go with the kooks lt's and ory over the qtp lt's and ory.

yes, i used to think QTPs were top of the line till i got them... Im not saying all QTPS are bad, but mine were SOOOOOOO bad... and thats just not worth me recommending them to anyone. Also, never get QTP's ORY unless you dont care about clearance issues... My car has sportlines lowered 2 inches and i couldnt fit my finger between the bottom of my ORY and the ground (granted my ORY has QTECS). I had to heat up the pipe and bend it upwards, then cut and weld another part of the ORY to get about maybe 4 to 5 inches of clearance... I also had Steering rack clearance issues, and also the bungs for my AIR and EGR didnt line up at all... which forced me to make custom block off plates and pull the AIR and EGR which i didnt really want to do... So alot of hassle, i would go with Kooks and a custom Y-pipe if i was you...

I had originally ordered QTP'S because of the price and earlier versions being raved about....then I started hearing all of these new issues people started having with them. I canceled the order and decided to get Kook's...very gald I did because I installed them in about 4 hours in my Garage...went in very smoothly, no cutting , grinding , removal of anything but the oil filter and a few things up top for easier acsess.
Be prepared to modify your existing catback as the Kook's come down at a different angle then some headers. I was running Hooker header's prior to these .....now I need to cut about 1 1/2 inches of my catback off to make the Kook's ORY fit properly with my Borla.

Ah! hot rods. I just love reading all the sponser bashing because aftermarket parts don't always fit. The people who seem to make the biggest fuss, apparantly don't work on cars for a living. If they did, they would expect a problem first and be glad if they don't second. I have installed quite a few headers from various companies on and off this sight. They ALL have issues from time to time. It's just how it is. As far as this particular post goes, Kooks has just as many problems in the past as QTP is having at the moment. Making polls about it makes absolutly no sense to me. None of these companies want issues and they certainly don't deserve the internet abuse.

wtf this isnt a poll and i dont see any internet abuse here just asking opinions and these companies may not want issues but at the moment qtp seems to be having some issues that for the near $1100 im going to be spending need to be addressed before im going to spend the money. and thanks to everyone else for their help anyone else?

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahnnnnnn! You are modifiying a car. All this whining makes me sick.STFU, be a man, make it work. Of course I am sure the same complaining is in line with "I'd do the h/c combo but my car won't get 50mph to the gallon." Suck it up. If these product sucked so bad then nobody would buy them. Funny how lots of real users make this stuff work every day.

They polish the QTP's now. I'd go with them. Kooks are the ugliest headers I've ever seen.
