cat back or muffler (hooker)

Has anyone tested the difference between the Hooker cat back and what I would gain over stock with just going with the Hooker muffler and the stock piping?
I have the Hooker LTs and Y pipe. I like what I have heard of the same set up with the Hooker cat back as well. I can spend the money on something else if the muffler will get me basically the same thing as far as sound and performance.

If the piping is larger than stock, youll make more power.
