Re: low budget bolt ons? Get a lid and a set of Hooker LT headers. The cat-back exhaust(Borla,Corsa) gives you minimal gain for a lot of money. With just a SLP lid, K&N filter, Supersucker ramair kit, homemade bellows, and gutted cats I gained 32RWHP.

Supersucker ram air 13RWHP-$219
Homemade bellows 2RWHP-$2
Gutted factory cats 6RWHP-Free
Total 332RWHP/352RWTQ
I think you can get a set of Hooker LT's coated with a Y-pipe for about $700. This is one of the best first mods you need to help your engine breathe. This will probably void your warranty on your exhaust, but who cares. Re: low budget bolt ons? If you want horsepower go with a lid and a cat back. If you just want to flat out go faster leave everything else alone and put in a torque converter. Can you say 12 second SS.

Hypertech HPPIII= 350
LS1 Motorsports lid=100
Holley or K&N= 50
Cutout= 70 - including install(yes some shops
will rape you)
O2 simms= 80
SLP MAF= 150
Kelly Springfeild 525K6 belt= 20 (short belt)
I would also take the original y-pipe off, take a really long pry bar(on with a crooked end) and beat the guts out the cats. I would also do the free ram air mod, and the tb coolant mod(these two mods can be seen over at ls1.com).
If you get the lid you can always swap the lid and MAF out in a bout 10 minutes and take her to the dealership for a check up.
Besides that I wouldn't push it any further to keep your warranty.

Re: low budget bolt ons? Out of all these post almost everyone said either a lid, fliter, pully, and smooth bellows. Thoes are the ones that you should get for sure. After that you might want to conside a set of lower control arms to help w/wheel hop. Any money you have saved over you should put it towards headers with dual cut outs in the y-pipe and then a converter. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />
