Stock crank pully Q
A few months back I installed the Polly Trans mount and since then when getting on it at around 3 to 4 grand it fells as though the engune is going to shake apart.
Now YA I know that the new mount is a hella lot stiffer than my worn out stock but still it seems excesive so I took a look at the engine and noticed that the crank pully has what looks like a rubber band (black O-ring looking rubber) pressed in it but at one point a section of it is preesed in further.
Q: is this. Is that 0-ring my balancing material? and if so should I replace the crank pully?
If so I want to put stock back on so how much should I look forward to?
Thx for any help
see sig for details
oop's thought I put A4 in the sig sorry
Now. Is this hard to remove and put anew one on. Please keep in mind my base hobby shop SUCKS so tools are extreemly limited.
Any further help would be great.
The backing plate was part of the poly transmission mount.
I dont think you can replace just the rubber, but gmpartsdirect.com has the whole pulley for $45. 98-02 Crank pulley balancer #12553118
