I was going to say they will smoke if they are brand new but it doesn't sound like they are
what temp. are you at when you see smoke?(1st)
does it go away when the engine is hot at WOT?

Does anyone elses car smoke at WOT with headers? My car never smoked before the headers, I even have videos from a week before at the track before the headers and there was no smoke whatsoever! now at WOT I can see some smoke in my rear view mirror at WOT in the higher RPM's. I do have the off road pipe also.

Is the smoke BLACK or is it BLUE/WHITE?
It's common knowledge that some of the LS1s use oil either through the PCV system or past the rings (or both). The Cats can mask the appearance of the Blue/white oil smoke. When you remove them you could now just be seeing what has actually been there all along.
If it's Black .... then you're rich, as the others have suggested.

Re: Does anyone elses car smoke at WOT with headers? Jay, you need to get a scan tool and figure out your long term fuel trims (LTFT's) at regular driving. When these get posotive (meaning your car is lean), they add fuel at part throttle and WOT. When they are negative, WOT runs normal without any subtrcation - it only adds fuel. You can use a MAF Translator to dial in your LTFT's for regular driving, and it will stop dumping fuel at WOT. Just keep raising the MAF until the LTFT's are slightly negative.
This should get rid of your WOT smoke (if it's black, that is). Then tune WOT on a dyno using the MAFT to get ir right on. The alternative, of course, is LS1edit.
