Re: Does anyone make a x-pipe for the LS1??
Many people are using the Dr. Gas X Pipe. They are buying the kit that comes with mandrel 45* bends so that you will have a completly mandrel bent exhaust system. Magnaflow also makes an X-pipe that some are using. If you are going with an X-pipe, then you wont be using a cat-back system, unless you have a custom made cat-back system installed. If you want to keep your cats, then you would have to have a exhaust shop fabricate true duals for you. If you want to go with a pre-fabbed catback system, then you will need a Y pipe. The X-pipe is for a true dual setup, and just gives you a crossover to equalize your exhaust system. The Y pipe will take your exhaust off of your cats, headers or manifolds and take it into one pipe. Hope this is helpful.
