Flip a coin. I got the MTI lid because it has flatter sides on it and I planned on getting the NOS 5177 kit, which needs to be screwed into those sides.

If you do a little research, you'll find the phrase "A lid is a lid is a lid....", meaning they're all the same.

No difference performance wise but the clear lids look much cooler IMHO so I'd go with one of those.

i went with the slp lid because its not too flashy but it shows its not stock either. when it comes down to it, a lid is a lid.

The SLP probably fits the best. They all preform the same. GMHTP magazine had an article on them. They all preformed the same, they just though the SLP was built better.

The SLP lid is definately built better than some of the others, but as far as fitment goes I always had trouble with mine rubbing the underside of my hood even when it was fastened down properly. Many others have also had this problem with the SLP lids. I recently switched to a clear MTI lid. It doesn't rub on the underside of my hood, and it looks real nice with my Nitro Dave's Halo spray bar.

this whisper lid has a reputation of cracking. get the MTI. of course i'm partial to the SLP lid as i think it looks the best and has a great no-crack track record.

There are plenty that rub and plenty that dont. Just depends on the car I guess. Mine just happens to rub. And yes, Its installed properly. Probably will end up getting a clear mti lid soon

Most of the instances where the SLP lid rubs seem to be on the SS or WS6 hoods. I have a Z28 and have no issues with rubbing.

I agree. We put my old SLP lid on my girlfriend's '99 Trans Am with the stock hood, and it doesn't rub at all. When the SLP lid was on my car it rubbed bad though.
