Re: Mufflex 4" catback 2000LS1Z28, The GMMG exhaust is louder all the way around. If you run longtubes without cats and gmmg, it's pretty loud at idle, but extremely loud at wot, and very raspy at wot. I can hear my friend from about four blocks away. Anything above 3000 rpms, and I can hear him from a pretty good ways away. I ran the Loudmouth with out cats first, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was too loud all the time ("ticket loud") I loved the sound, but the cops didn't. The mufflex with flowmaster, you don't really hear me pull up, but you feel me coming (deep sound). It sounds just like a big block car. When I stomp it, it sounds like an all out race car, but still could only hear me from about two blocks away. When I first started it up, I was disappointed because it was so quiet, but when I got on it, I was in love. I get so many compliments now, where I didn't before. Everyone just describes it as "wicked". You can hear a sound file from a guy who I believe has stock cam, manifolds, and cats on ls1info.com, and go to the download section. He has his pipe coming out the back of the car, and I think he runs the spintech muffler. It doesn't sound near as mean as mine, but it gives you an idea.

Re: Mufflex 4" catback Thanks for the info(that helps). So far, the GMMG(with CATS) is the best sounding cat-back I've heard in person on an LS1. Very mean, yet deep/clean tone(and NO rasp).
And for the last time, a single 4" cat-back is absolutely not too big for a bolt-on car. That is purely myth. I guess all the dyno and track #'s I've seen to support this were made up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
