GMMG was my VERY FIRST mod. Best catback I've ever heard IMO. I LOVE IT!!!! It is stainless steel, so it will never rust. Just the slightest bit of throttle and the bass will be coming. WOT this thing screams. Currently I have it on stock manifolds and cats, but this will change it about 4 weeks. Everything I've read about LTs and GMMG, makes it sound like it will be 100x better. Do a search in THIS forum "External Engine" for GMMG. A lot of threads.

I love mine. Nice low rumble at idle, screams when you jump on it yet very little drone on the highway until the revs get over 2k which on my M6 is over 80. Does do some "farting" before the engine warms up but I'd say it was one of my favorite mods.

Just had mine installed last week. Awesome exhaust. Pricey, but worth it.

I replaced my corsa catback with the GMMG after i put on headers.
the corsa muffler couldn't hold up to the pressure after the headers .
sounds better than the corsa with headers and I love my exhaust loud

I'm running it as well. It is quiet at idle, but as soon as you apply throttle it wakes up. The thing I remember most about the first drive was being able to feel the bass in the back of my seat. If you can afford it, then by all means go for it!

Best sounding catback IMO! It has a nice loud idle, and sounds throaty and deep when driving around. For such a loud catback, it has VERY little drone. In fact, it isn't very loud inside the car at all.

So for full exhaust, what would you guys recommend with GMMG? I'm either going with kooks or qtp's, then either catted y or ory. Which one would be best? Or any other thoughts? I'll most likely have to go catted y because of emissions but which one sounds better. It's kind of hard to distinguish on ls1sounds.

You won't hear any difference between any longtube you buy. I'd go with the QTP's because the come with HVMC's AND are cheaper than Kooks. My car had rasp even with a catted y, so I wouldn't get an offroad pipe if I was you. A dynomax bullet put an end to most of the rasp however. Here's my car at idle and wot.

I was talking about the difference of sound/quality between the ory or catted y with the gmmg and longtubes. So you'd suggest a catted y with LTs and GMMG? Any one else?

I've got one, long tubes, and an ory. I like it, but it's not a daily driver.

i'm running a catted y and it sounds great, very little rasp. the catted y tames the loudness down a bit too.

I think nothing sounds better than GMMG plus Kooks or QTP with a catted y.

I think I'm sold on the catted y, it makes more sense for me. Especially for emissions and because I don't want rasp even though it won't be a daily driver. I still want to listen to music and maybe hold a conversation every now and then haha.
