Default Baker Hose problem

I put my Baker hose on yesterday. My god, this thing was a pain in the a$$. I don't see how there would be any way to get it in with the throttle body in the car. (I had the throttle body out to port and polish) It was all I could do to get it on. I had trouble getting it over the MAF as well. I put the whole assembly together and then bolted the TB back to the intake.
Will this thing fit better once it gets heated up by the car running? If not I may never try and take it off. I do like the way it looks though. It would just be better if it was a little larger on the TB end.
Thanks for listening...

The first time you install the Baker hose it's a tite fit, once the hose forms to the MAF/TB it's a snap. The best way to install the hose is to first install it on the MAF then you'll need to work it onto the TB, did you trim the hose a litle so it shorter?

I used a little liquid soap on the lip of the TB, and use my hand on the inside of the hose. Then I plop the MAF on and clamp it all done. Once the hose heats up a couple of times it will be more form-fitting and it'll be easier.

Does it get easier to remove/install after awhile? Yes, a little. It's still a snug fit though. A dumb question, and certainly not to imply that you didn't check this, but if I remember right (and it has been a little while since I looked at it real close) I think it is a little wider on one end and narrower on the other. If it is, just make sure the ends are on the correct side. This might help ya!

I called Baker and asked them for the "camaro hose" like someone on this board recommended. I don't know what size it is really. It wouldn't hurt to be about a half inch bigger though... well, maybe not a half inch, but at least bigger...

I did cut a little off each end and made sure the bigger end went on the TB. I just know that I had a lot of trouble putting this thing on with the TB and the MAF out of the car. I would have never imagined that it would be this tight. (Not that I don't like tight things <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ) I just don't want to take my TB off everytime I mess with the intake. Ah, it's all good now. It's on and I don't mess with it all that much. Just venting. Thanks all!

I don't think the "camaro hose" is as specific as you could have gotten. Its a 3.5"X4.0" reducer if I remember right. You probably got the wrong hose.
