Default LS1 to LS6 manifold swap question...

Has anyone done an LS6 manifold swap (from LS1 to LS6) and instead of buying and installing the new coolant line and plugs, just ground off the ribs on the backside of the manifold to make room for the existing LS1 coolant line?? Thanks for feedback...

Wrong section.

I have taken the factory coolant plugs and just cut the piping off and welded them shut in the back. But I still bought the front coolant pipe.

I wouldnt cut the ls6 intake up..just by the $20 front coolant line.

^^^ Exactly what I did, If you can't weld or have any friends that can you would be better off buying all the pipes though.
