Jet Hot Long Tube Headers
Jet Hot Long Tube Headers I was reading abou the Jet Hot headers today and I was wondering does anyone have these? If so how do u like em in terms of, installation,and sound. How much did u pay for them and how long did it take u to install them? Or do u think the other LT headers are better?
Re: Jet Hot Long Tube Headers I love my Jet Hot headers. I don't have any dyno #'s or track times with them yet, but I can definetly tell a difference between stock manifolds and running these headers. Installation wasn't too bad since CamminBeaSSt came over to help, but I did have to take a pry bar and pry the header on the driver's side off my k-member. Other than that, they sound and look Great!

Re: Jet Hot Long Tube Headers I also have the Jet Hot LT's. Install took the better part of a day, and thats with a friend who knew what he was doing. There were a few problems, not major problems but they took some time:
1. Had to splice into the o2 because Jet Hot says you dont need o2 extenders but you do. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />
2. Had to grind down the stering shaft bolt because it was rubbing on the header.
3. Had to pry the drivers side off the k-member and do some grinding so it would not rattle.
But all in all I like them. Picked up 20 rwhp with them and thats through a flowmaster and with no tuning. Dont have any track times yet.The sound is fairly quiet with the Dynomax bullet and the flowmaster

Re: Jet Hot Long Tube Headers Installation went along pretty smoothly. The only thing I didn't like was the AIR and EGR holes were not tapped out. It's a little tricky getting a washer and nut to go on the EGR fitting. O2 extension are needed. I'd say about a foot long on each side. Mine don't hit the K-member.
Cobb, get a cutout to bypass that Flowmaster. I gained 10rwhp and 20rwtq through the cutout! Overall I am happy with the headers quality and performance.
