Re: Granatelli MAF I ordered one recently. I'm not sure if the one I got is a granatelli though. The package I got from ls1 motorsports came with a lid filter and was supposed to come with an SLP maf. They told my dad that they had run out of the slps for xmas and were including a Granatelli one instead. on the invoice it says its a granatelli, but says DELPHI on the top connector piece. Is this really a granatelli one or stock piece? Thanks If you can help.

Re: Granatelli MAF Thanks for the input guys.... And about that SLP MAF, I don't know if they would substitute A granatelli. The SLP is like $149.00 the Granatelli is like $320.00...
Re: Granatelli MAF Yeah but they did. I have it all figured out now. It is a granatelli MAF. The reason it says DELPHI on it is because Granatelli buys the MAF from GM(or the like) and recalibrates it for the f-body(85mm). I got lucky when they replaced the SLP with the Granatelli, it's actually what I wanted in the first place, but didn't want to pay the extra $$$.

Tranny line pressure has nothing to do with the MAF. The line pressure should be set to follow the throttle position sensor.

Re: Granatelli MAF they can be beneficial depending on wether or not your car is an a4 or an m6. if an m6 and you want to cough up the bucks for it they are seemingly better than just maf ends.
however in an a4 they can bump transmission line pressure because under load which usually means much increased throttle position, the maf flow rate is calibrated to adjust accordingly with the throttle position. thus if flowing more air through the larger diameter then pressure will rise unless tuned for the added flow in which case its just another bolt on for yet another bolt on buck.
