Default Will Long Tubes + Duals + 1-Chambers rasp?

I finally got the headers on, and I'm about to start on the exhaust. Going to use 1 chamber mufflers, but I am wondering if i will need cats or anything else to reduce rasp?

If it goes as i think it will, hopefully it will just be headers, X pipe, 1-chambers. But I heard a catless Y pipe setup on longtubes that sounded like diarrhea recently.

any advice?

I've actually never heard any dual setup, 2.5" or 3", that has any of the 2k-3k rpm rasp. I've heard bullets, sweet thunders, spiral flows and my 1 chambers. Every catless y-pipe setup I've heard has noticable rasp, even a little bit with the docile hooker catback. I still firmly believe that the y-pipe merge is what causes rasp. I went from the raspiest setup I've ever heard (macs/ory/cutout) to having absolutely none with my current exhaust. I even drove w/open headers for a couple blocks and got none of the machine gun rasp.

Anybody got any soundclips of a dual setup making the blat blat blat machine gun rasp????

I'm running MAC mids/H pipe/single chambers as well. My only problem with the sound is that it has that "3rd gen sounding flowmaster sound" in the lower 2k rpm range. I hate that sound. I'm going to put cats or bullets or something in my exhaust in hopes to hide that sound, otherwise I'll be getting rid of these mufflers. I hate to do that though, since all the other rpm ranges sound amazing. If you don't mind that "flowmaster sound," then by all means go for the setup that you listed

jmm98ls1, do you get that same sound in the lower 2k rpm range that I'm talking about?

The only sound I get that isn't pure sex to the ears is a little drone from 1800-2000 rpm from having them dumped under the car.

Hmm, maybe I should come visit you, and listen to it in person. I couldn't imagine mine being an H and yours being an X would cause that. Possibly it could be due to my mac mids vs your long tubes?

I could hear the sound I'm talking about in another video posted on this board, with the same setup as yours. Do you have any vids of yours crusing at lower RPMs? As in from idle up to around 3k, not hammering on it

The only two vids I have right now are idle and WOT. I've been meaning to make one of just normal driving, maybe I can get that done before this weekend...I'll post up if I get 'er done. You're always welcome to come to T-town and check it out in person! BTW, My crossover is technically an H, not an X, even though the pipes come together. It looks like this:
