Re: Thermostat I modded my stat to open at 160* and used a thermostatic fan switch that comes on at 175*.
Cost me right at $20 for both mods combined.
A general rule of thumb:
Your engine will run about 15* more than what your stat opens at.
My car runs a consistent 175*, which is perfect for our cars IMO.
