Default air system removal

OK will this work. I have my intake off again and the polished air system under it is out.
1> Can I just use block off plates (where do ya get those plates?) where they went into the engine or do I have to remove the pump.
Better yet can I cut the tubes off and plug the lines.
2> If I have to remove the pump do I just plug the hoses with a bolt?

3> Anything else I need to be warned about

Dont wanna mess anything up so I ask.

Thanks,

If you are talknig about the small stainless lines UNDER THE INTAKE MANIFOLD, these are coolant lines ! They must be switched with the LS6 coolant lines in order for the intake to fit. The A.I.R. lines are the hoses coming off the exhaust manifolds and running to the A.I.R. pump in front of the driver's side front tire.
Please post a pic of what you are talking about if you can. Sounds to me like you are talking about the coolant lines under the plastic intake manifold .

Yup they are the coolant lines. So
1> They MUST be there.
2> Can I block them off?
or at least block off the line going
into the throttlebody from the radiator it
seems to go straight into the coolant lines
I know I would have to block off the holes on
top of the engine.
3> I Must order the ones for the Z06.?

I do have a Z06 intake $385.00 shipped but it seems I would have saved just getting a ls6 manifold from slp because that coolant line probably costs over $75.00.

I am working on it now and about to remove the intake AGAIN

I dont have the lines so are there any other alternatives.

Thanks,

Yes if you are installing an LS6 intake you must have the LS6 coolant lines because they do not have the one that runs front to back(the LS6 intake is deeper and flat on the bottom so the stock LS1 front to back line will not let the intake sit flush on the valley cover).
There is a TB coolant bypass mod but it does not seem to make any improvments as far as performance goes. However do not block the coolant lines under the intake all together, you would get cylinder-to-cylinder cooling issues .
Let me know if there is anything else.
