Default Intake Material?

How much does the internal intake material matter. I'm not refering to weight but the effect of the material causing friction with the incoming air.

In terms of friction, the air in a manifold is not moving fast enough to generate heat in the way you are thinking.

In terms of transferring heat through conduction, then yes aluminum will transfer more heat than plastic (nylon in our case). How much heat (aka heat soak) is so very debatable - and this thread will probably turn into a flame fest if I mention one way or another. lol.

It's not just heat, it is also the speed of the air.
