Default muffler

i am planing on doing the headers and true dual pipes....i havnet decided on headers yet, either hooker or macs...i am not going with a head/cam, but i can get them both for about the same price so i just havent decided yet....anyway...i am not going to run cats, no need to here in florida....but my question is do i need muffler's? all they are going to do is make it quieter and more restrictive right? so shouldn't i just go with two straight pipes all the way out the back?

what do you guys think? more power and torque? or just more noise?

I would run at least a Dynomax race bullet. They flow great and they will really help to tune the sound. I think these cars sound like *** with a stock heads/cam, stock compression, and no cats or muffler.
