True dual X pipe setup or LS6 intake????
Im hoping to have some left over money from uncle sam and im looking into adding the missing peices to my setup before heads. Currently im running Mac headers/off road Y pipe/cutout/stock catback. I think the X pipe setup will gain me about .05-.08 with a good MPH giving less weight and ditching the stock catback but im also thinking the LS6 intake could gain me a solid .1/1-1.5 MPH with my B1 cam. Anyone track tested the 2 and come up with the better mod? If the LS6 intake wins out who sells them the cheapest? Both will be in the same money range IMO with having to pay labor on setting up the X pipe.

Scott, I think both sound like a good mod. The HP of the LS6 intake, and the HP and weight savings of the X-pipe.
But, the x-pipe setup would be too loud for a big stall daily driver. I could be wrong, but that's just my sentiment.
I'd get the LS6 intake if I was you. I think everyone sells the intake for about the same price. Do you have a hookup at a GM dealer??
You might find one in the classifieds as well.

Scott, Imo I'd get the intake..I think you'd get the most HP out of that since you already have a cam. The headers have already opened the exhaust up. I'd try to get more air into the motor next. I've heard your car..it sounds damn good too. I'm thinking about a true dual setup with 2 chamber Flow's and long tubes w/o cat's when Uncle Sam gives me some $ back. If you go the X-pipe route, let me know who you use to do the work..I'm gonna try to get rid of the 4" Spintech I have.. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

I guess it might be the intake but right now i need to look into some FAT tires for daily driving with the 4.10s. Any tips on some tires Mike? I know my stock street tires will be on the rev limiter before the 1/4.

275/60 15 Nitto's are 27.3 inches tall.
Is your car lowered? If so you will have difficulty with these rubbing when you hit big bumps.
What front tires do you ride around with? If the front tires are too small these bigass back tires will screw you out of abs.
