Default MAF choices

I tried a few searches for MAF but got 3 responses (one being only valid). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Anyways I am trying to see if there is any differences between the Granatelli MAF and the SLP MAF. Is it true that the SLP MAF is taken from a truck line and re-programmed by SLP?

Is there any justification for paying almost double for the Granatelli MAF?

How about after more modding is done to the car, is this still a "justifiable" mod?

anyone else think I will be throwing money down the drain <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" />

I couldn’t believe that One Punch’s search claim is true but it is. Search seems to only have access to very recent data. There are literally hundreds of MAF threads. Try search later and you should find tons of information. There is much good information and much bad.

"Stick with the stock MAF" is good advice.

I did a search for "MAF" on "other board" and got tons of more info. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

There does seem to be problems with MAFs in general so I will heed your advice and "stay stock" with MAF.

Thanks for reply

Just stick with the stock--it's leaner. The only reason I purchased the Granatelli is because it was programmed for a NOS system to give it more fuel (keep it away from lean) when it was engaged. Basically all the posts ahead of me are right-stick with stock, with no screen or ported it flows just as good allowing that $350 to be put towards something else.

Hope this helps
