Default FTRA vs. Supersucker

I know this has been discussed. Search function was not returning any hits. Advantages/Disadvantages. Water issues? Thanks. New to the board and modding the car.

Supersucker is made of plastic and have a history of cracking and letting water get in, FTRA is metal and more durable. Better seal in the air box. I am sure there are more differances but that was enough to sell me on FTRA. All advantages point in FTRA's direction..

I've never heard of anybody having a problem with water and the Supersucker. I've read about that problem with ftra on this and that other LS1 board. The airdam is basically an extension of the ftra. This sits lower than the Supersucker by a couple of inches allowing it scoop up water easier. From what I've seen the Supersucker actually seals better. I have one of the new supersuckers that has been plastic welded. It is very strong. It got me into the 12's

Check the sponsors for LS1Tech for both. I know Speed Inc and LM Performance sell the Supersucker

www.lmperformance.com
www.ls1speed.com

Look under induction.
