Default air filter

Has anyone seen a flow test on all the air filters on the market??? for 98-02
im looking for the best flow info,,, my K&N is WORN OUT, thanks in most part to free ram air mod.. ... sounds crazy but it is TRUE...

i use teh napa gold filer (wix)

the kn filters dont seal that welll so i threw it out.

ive read that the oil from the k&n will mess up your maf. basically the oil does something with the sensor and your car will not get correct readings with a dirty maf.

thats what ive been hearing lately about k&n's. im thinking about getting a fram or some other paper filter, and just change it every 10K or so.

Any of the re-useable filters can mess up your MAF if they are over oiled. The oil gets on the sensor wires and can give you trouble. I had a Holley which seals much better than the K&N but i read so many negatives I just went back to a plain old paper filter. I'll probably clean the Holley, reoil it and then sell it on ebay.

i fixed the poor sealing problem, with camper tape and some 3M weather strip adh.. SO now a regular air filter will not fit ....DANG!!!!

i never heard that before,, oil on my maf junk like that could drive a man crazy... THANKS FOR THE INFO >>>> Im going back to PAPER... wix is # 1

I'm running an STP paper filter right now, no difference in performance over my k&n, and for 4 dollars, it seals a hell of a lot better

I did a dyno test and long-term test. Summary: No HP gains for the K&N and crappy fitment/filtration. I'm back to Fram and gave my K&N away...
