Default LS6 MAF question..

I put my old LS6 MAF on to see how she feels. The screen is out of it and it is a Pace Calibrated one. I do not know how taking the screen out affects anything besides getting more air in, but I noticed the car idles rougher. Any clues to why? I am trying to free up the intake path with letting more air in.

Mine does the same thing it annoys me. It sakes a little to much. I think its not tunes all that good, runs rich at idel to me. I hold the rpms higher and it smooths out. Iam just waiting for diablo to have that udate. hopefully soon.

I have the Pace LS6 MAF. I lost a couple HP and gained a couple torque. Overall I dont think it is a good mod. I will prob go back to stock maf b4 long.
YMMV

The screen is in place to smooth out the turbulent incoming air charge so the MAF Sensor can interpret the amount of air coming in more effectively. When you remove the screen it's harder for the MAF to delineate how much air is actually coming in thus fuel delivery is not accurately matched to the incoming air charge. This may be your problem.

At relatively low intake momentum charges like at idle the sensor will be getting skewed readings without the screen if the intake path is not a direct shot.
