AIR INTAKE MOD. I have a 01 formula with a k&n air filter. I was thinking of drilling two holes through the underside of the hood where it blocks the air filter intake. I would press two pcs. of PVC tube througt the holes and fasten them in place.
It should direct air straight into the filter. Has anyone tried this and should I have any concerns?

Re: AIR INTAKE MOD. Dan, your heart is in the right place, but there is a much better way to get air into the airbox: the infamous free ram air mod. You just cut out the bottom of the airbox and part of the upper radiator shroud to match. Go to www.ls1.com under mods or www.installuniversity.com under install articles, they both have good walk throughs and install university has good pics of the process.
