Default Quick question about cooling system....

I'm wanting to take all of the rusty looking clamps off the coolant hoses(three into the water pump, three into the radiator) to have them chromed, but I wasn't sure about what I would have to do to the system after I reinstalled everything. Would the system need to be bled of any air or anything of that matter? Pardon my ignorance, but I just want to make sure I do everything right.

Thanks.

Some people get all crazy about bleeding the system. I just let the motor run with the radiator cap off till the T-stat opens, keep it full to the top, then fill the overflow to full and keep an eye on the level for the next few warm up cycles. This has always worked for me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Thanks. I didn't figure it could be too much different than every other system.
