Drilling into steering column??
Drilling into steering column?? Dont really know where to put this topic....
It would be for a small screw that would hold my raptor shift light. The hole would be about 1/8" to accomodate a self-tapping screw that wouldnt protrude into the column more than 1/4".
Is there anything under the very top of the column that I will hit if I drill into it? I'm not some idiot with a drill...it would only be drilled until the bit gets through, no deeper.
Any info on this?

AFAIK most of the important wires are on the bottom, so if you are careful, I'd say you'll be safe with a small hole, and screw
If it were me I'd look at putting it in the AC vent, out of site of prying eyes (and sticky fingers), but still visible when you need it

I have my Harlan light in the a/c vent but I can't see it very well. I'll be moving it to the steering column tomorrow. I'm just going to use some velcro to attatch it, that's what's holding it into the a/c vent and it works fine.
