PORTED MAF WITH TRANSGO DOESNT THE KIT HEILP THE LINE PRESSURE PROBLEM? IVE READ PORTING THE HOUSING GIVE ME A COUPLE MORE DEGREES OF TIMING AND LEAN ME OUT A TICK. IM LOOKING FOR EVERY LITTLE BIT . WHAT DO YOU THINK. I KNOW SOME FAST A4S HAVE A PORTED METER.
Re: PORTED MAF WITH TRANSGO I've never had any trouble with my ported ends... but there are others that have thought ends contributed to line pressure loss.

Re: PORTED MAF WITH TRANSGO It is known that the MAF ends being ported mess with your tranny. your computer figures out what to make your line pressure based on those MAF readings, a ported MAF means less pressure. There is a whole bunch of topics about it if you do a search.
Now the performance chip from JET is suppose to increase the tranny line pressure. I thought I heard somewhere that these chips arent good for our cars, if anyone knows better let me know. And if anyone knows if its safe to use a ported MAF on A4's with this chip let me know also.
Also, NetGearhead makes an adapter that is suppose to increase line pressure for our transmission. Has anyone ever tried these with success? If either of these work with success then thats some good news for s A4 guys. If anybody has done either with an MAF end on an A4, hit me up with an email and let me know the results. The shift kit could make it more safe to use the MAF ends being that it increases the hydraulic flow. I dunno if it counteracts the MAF ends problem on an A4, hopefully someone out there knows.
