Default traction control question?

do all 2001 camaro ss have traction control? if not, how do you know if you have it on your car or not?

just floor it. if the pedal gives feedback then you have it. if you just spin them all day then you dont. also it should have a button above your radio next to the fog light switch that says ASR. hope that helps

Correctamundo, well at least on the button part. Trans Am's call theirs TCS, while Camaro calls theirs ASR.

Also, if there is only 1 cable connected to your throttle body running to a box by the battery, you have TCS/ASR. If you have 2 cables on the throttle body, you don't have TCS/ASR.

on my 2001 formula the TCS button is right in front of the shifter below the radio and heater. it really is great in the rain. i spun the 2-3 gear shift over a BRIDGE when the road was wet and i was only taking it up to ~3k. that was scary. thank God TCS kicked my foot off or it coulda been bad!

so 99 trans am with TCS would have this "button"
