Default I Know you have been asked this before ..... sorry

i have a bone stock 02 M6 Z , not even a filter change yet , i couldnt drive the car for awhile due to health etc.. but im wanting to get an opp. from some of you where to start? im a converted 5.0 guy so these cars are kind of greek to me still, i havent got to spend hardly any time on the car i have been reading some of the free mod posts from the past , but i need to get some ideas , does the MAF mod really have drawbacks like KR. or will i be ok with it on a 6spd car ? Does the FTRA really work that much better than FRA etc... please help im trying to get some of this done before Friday to make the 3rd pass on this car , ive only went 13.90 in this slug but i took the car in to Chevy and the clutch, flywheel, thr. bearing etc.. had to be replaced , i never could shift the car really fast but now i can im almost ashamed of my blistering 13.90 .....

do some basic mods and your time will drop fast.
Drag radials, B&M, Lid, cat-back, FTRA(or what you like), basic suspension, free mods, practice

you should be mid 12's no problem <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I wouldn't mess with the MAF. The stock piece is good. Do all the bolt ons and you'll be surprised at the gains. You'll probably gain a little more with the FTRA vs the FRA...probably nothing you will notice.

Get a good catback, headers and LS1 Edit. That should get you going nicely.

What were your 60's on that 13.90? You had to be spinning really bad. I'm not ******* on you but that seems kind of high. Most M6's will run 13.5's bone stock.

Try and watch you launch RPM. Remember, you only have a 10 bolt. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Sub frams you can feel for sure, and a lot more it you have T-tops. I felt a difference in my LCAs. and so did my friend that put them on the other day on his TA, so id go for those two, and if moneys is left over get a adj. panhard too.

i cant remember my 60,s but they werent all that bad , i think the thing that was killing me was i had to let all the way out of the gas to shift and it seriously felt like it took almost a second to make a shift , i dont know if i tore the clutch etc.. up myself but the damn thing only had 600 miles on it at the track i was also not bright enough to kick the ASR off before the second pass , but both passes i couldnt really get it in gear and the car felt like it was pinging on the high end , i think 13.90 sucked i was really disapointed .... i ordered the Ripper last night along with the Holley air cleaner , and im going to run it bone stock Friday to see if maybe that clutch/flywheel combo was the culprit to the 13,90 oh yeah the other pass 14.40, now thats SAD....

Lemme take a wild guess...you don't personnally have experience with the FTRA mod? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

The FTRA mod is one of THE best bang for the buck mods you can make...seriously.
