Battery Tiedown???

Re: Battery Tiedown??? Did you still maintain the stock coolant overflow bottle? I'd reuse the lip...but it's completely gone. The dealer wants $60 for the overflow and the tray, because they say it only comes as one piece. I'll have to figure something out to reinforce the new piece. Thanks for the idea.

I used the sheetmetal and screws as a "bandaid" to reattach the stock plastic. Yes.. it's all one piece... but the tray has extra material on it.
You could take a piece on Stainless and make a complete new floor with a new lip and attach it to the base with screws. The would lift the battery only to the gauage of the steel and sould work well.
