Default Mufflers with duals?

My car is lowered and I'm getting duals put on once I get my car back together. What would be the best muffler to get that has the deepest sound but still give me enough ground clearance so I wont scrape everything. The quieter the better since I plan on putting dual cutouts before the X-pipe.

thanks
John

The quietest mufflers that would fit I think would be some Magnaflow muffers. Dynomax bullets pretty much don't do squat for quieting duals any. The Borla XR-1s are a little louder than the Magnaflows, but way quieter than bullets, and should fit as well. I have bullets right now and they rattle the **** out of my car when driving around. I have this little buzzing sound around 2000 rpm that I just can't figure out. Anyway, I have my car lowered about an inch and a half in the rear and I haven't scraped once. My Loudmouth scraped all the time on stuff. If your lowered it would be better to go with 2.5" tubing (which is what I have) to get more clearance, you'll still make about the same HP as 3" and make a little more torque. Later.

Like Graphite_WS6, I have bullets. My exhaust is 3" though. My car is lowered about an inch and a half (eibach pro-kit), and I'll just say this... My Hooker Y-pipe scraped more than my x-pipe does. In fact, its only scraped once.

I would nix the dual cutouts idea, unless its for the sound factor. Its not going to gain you anything over the X and duals.
