Re: bassani mid-length headers? I have them. Quality is excellent, fit is perfect (no banging, rubbing, scraping, etc.). Install was a breeze. Coating is very good quality as well, and the metal used for the primary tubes is 14 gauge, which is thicker than any of the other headers I know of for LS1s.
As for power, I did not do any before and after dynos and I don't have any dyno runs period on my set, but I have seen in person other cars dyno with them. Never any before and after runs, but I saw a '01 M6 SS make 350rwhp with these headers (and ORY) with only a few bolt-ons. That same car made 390+ with only the addition of a 224/224 cam. So they seem to flow well.
I would stay away from the Bassani cats though, people have shown poor gains using them. If you insist on using cats, get the ORY and have some RTs welded in or something....

Re: bassani mid-length headers? How is the rasp with cats and a stock SS exhaust? I don't want to make this car like my Hawk which is not a pretty DD. I want volume, but can't have any rasp. thanks
