Using just coolant plugs?

Would it be ok to use 4 coolant plugs, instead of 2 plugs and the line? Just wondering since the radiator I'm using doesn't have a spot for the coolant line.

The line is to allow air to be purged from the "high spot" in the engine.

Would it be ok to install a bleeder at the end of the hose, if the coolant line is used.

You'll need it to be at the highest point in the system possible or you'll have hell with getting the air out. I've also heard it referred to as a "steam vent" so you be the judge. I would just run the coolant pipe and make something for the radiator to accept it.
