slack in the throttle cable?

Default slack in the throttle cable?

Okay new engine is in but there is a bit of slack in the throttle cable. Maybe a inch or so. Anyway to adjust this? Thank guys

There is an adjustment in the middle of the cable ... just take off the clips, push both wires in towards the adjustment box thing, and put the clip back on... nice and simple.

Yes. I saw a write up on how to do this somewhere around here in the last few weeks.

Honestly ... if you go look at the little adjustment thing, it's pretty simple to figure out. If you can't do that, you need to put the tools away and sell the car.

Oh, I know how simple it is. That was one of the first things that I had to fix 5 years ago when I got the car.

haha I didn't mean you personally ... I was saying just in general. If anyone found themselves unable to figure it out after looking at it, then it's time to hang up the tools.

If you floor the pedal, and the TB hits the stop, I would not worry about it at all.

Oh and fyi traction control cars don't have this adjuster you guys talk about. You guys made me feel stupid lol.

Traction control cars do have the adjuster. I have ASR and cruise. I have a total of 3 sections of cable on the car, 2 of which are adjustable

How much slack should the cable have in it? How bout the cruise?
