How to put the lower box on stock Firebird hood, after i install the lower box i can't close the hood..need help and pics..plz

Note: Pontiac nose nostrills opened for functional air intake.

I don't think you can use the non WS6 hood with a WS6 lower air box. On a RamAir car the hood has more clearance because of the raised nostrils,somebody please correct me if i'm wrong

 

You can do it with a stock T/A hood. All you have to do is move the lower airbox back slightly by redrilling the holes. Make sure to test it before yuo drill though.

Hey Fahad, Ahmad said you were having trouble with this. I have the WS 6 Lower Air Base and a non-WS 6 hood. Like it was stated above, you need to move the base back. Try just holking it back when you tighten the bolts and see if that will do it. If not, you will need to lengthen the holes.
You might need to grind the airbox lid or the underside of the hood for clearance, but try it first to see.
Now, I need to go change my son's shitty diaper <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> .

You will need to drill the front portion of the stock ovals. Maybe 1/4" you can get. Then cut one side of the stock washers flat so they will move closer to the front as you push the base backward. Let me go and take a picture of mine......I will try and have it up on my web-site photo album later tonight.
