Spintech mufflers I have the Mufflex 4" system with the Spintech muffler and I was wondering if anyone knows if this is a free flowing muffler.
I heard Spintech is a spin off of Flowmaster and my car sounds like a Mustang now. I'm worried because Flowmasters are very restricted

Re: Spintech mufflers if u look at the design of the spintech vs. the flowmaster u can tell that spintech is NOT a spinoff. they have 2 totally different designs. spintech goes for a quieter muffler but able to put out the HP gains u want. flowmast, yet popular, I think is a lil restrictive. just my .02
Re: Spintech mufflers Its going to be somewhat restrictive b/c its not a race muffler. They use a totally different design than Flowmaster, by causing the exhaust to swirl. I loved mine, but got set of getting duals.

Flowmaster mufflers have a series of baffles at different angles.
Spintech mufflers have these curly things called spin traps. Spintech acually used to be call Spintrap until they got into a trademark lawsuit with Supertrapp.
Personally I consider Flowmaster, Spintechs and other mufflers true mufflers. But they will restrict some power. I loved my 4" Flowmaster but I honestly think that it was robbing me of some power.
I am a Borla XR1 fan and like other mufflers in that style. I also had a nice Dynomax Ultraflow welded muffler that rocked.
