loudmouth replacement I have the loudmouth exhaust on my 98ss. I was thinking about replacing the resonator with something else. Does any one have any sound clip of the borla xr-1 or dynomax or some other replacements. I like my sound it just sounds truckish at idle.

Re: loudmouth replacement The Dynomax 12" bullit in place of the resinator makes a huge difference.Idle and part throttle will be quieter.Takes alot of the resenation at cruise out too.They should of had a bullit in the first place.
Re: loudmouth replacement I have a bullet welded in place of the resonator, but I would also like to hear some sound clips of cars with either the Borla XR-1 or Magnaflow. Prefferably any cars that have Long Tube Headers with ORY-Pipe and the Loud Mouth Exhaust. I have no problem with the way my current setup sounds other than on the hwy. Once your in 6th gear the resonance is terrible all the way from 65mph to 90. I'd spend the $200 on the XR-1 if my exhaust still sounded this loud but just got rid of the hwy resonance.

Re: loudmouth replacement you guys got me all concerned. igot the lm now with stock manifolds and cats. i will always be running cats but will be changing to headers prob. within a year. i like the lm for its straight through design. any other sraight shot mufflers out there? what about good old fassion glass packs? something thats loud *** hell outside but nice inside....hmm.. does such a beast exist?
