This is a very interesting soundclip. After looking thru his site it apears he has MAC midlength headers with an ORY-Pipe which goes into a LM exhuast with a Borla XR-1 muffler welded in place of the resonator. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I have a 98 ss with the m6. I have the loudmouth exhaust and wanted to see what it would sound like with the borla xr-1 resonator/muffler. If you guys have any other mufflers in place of the loudmouth please post them up so I can check them out.

 

I have heard of the MAC mid lengths giving that kind of setup a lil raspiness to the sound. I have the 16" bullit with stock manifolds, no raspiness what so ever. my buddy have MAC's, same exhaust after that and it does sound raspy. if u have LT's or stock manifolds expect more of a deeper sound.

 

Dug sent me an email concerning this post. The only problem with my setup is ground clearance. You might have a problem on a lowered vehicle. I personally have no problems with it, but my car is not lowered.... just an FYI. It does sound great, and I have gotten a few comments mentioning that it is the best sounding exhaust system they've heard on an F-body.

 

i still kinda favor dynomax bullets with an X.. here's mine.. dual 12" bullets

Sounds good for being a Borla instead of the loudmouth. How $much$ <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> did everything come out to be.
