GMMG vs. Borla
I've narrowed it down to 2 cat-back exhaust systems. The Borla or the GMMG. Which one do ya'll thinks sound better?? Before you answer, if you haven't heard the GMMG, go to www.gmmginc.net. Also, a few people got me thinking of true duals. But if I got true duals, I would want them to come out the back. Do true duals sound THAT much better than a good cat-back system done right? Or do they give you that much more power? Any info, sound clips or pics that you guys could give me would be a great help. Or if you have heard of any problems with the Borla, GMMG, or even the true duals let me know. Just email me if you got pics or sound clips. Thanks alot.

GMMG here also, its lighter than the Borla, and sounds better in my opinion also. I had true duals before the GMMG. I also had ground clearance issues with the duals. I picked up 0 rwhp and 6 ftlbs of torque with the duals over a cutout. Coming out the rear of the car I doubt you will gain anything. IMHO the only thing Borla has going for it, is you can change the sound with plates. Thats not needed with the GMMG, it sounds perfect as it is.

Re: GMMG vs. Borla
I love my GMMG. It doesn't resonate in the car like a loudmouth and like duals do, but is still sufficently loud for me I have had mine for about two years or so now, and it still looks flawless underneath.
True duals out the back is a "somewhat" difficult job. Not many do it because its hard to find someone who will do mandrell bends up and over the axle, plus its kind of tight in there. Speed Inc. does a true dual up and over the axles and out the back, but they only do it in house.

Re: GMMG vs. Borla
I realize this is all personal opinion/preference, but I've owned both and here is what I think:
The GMMG sounds so much better than the Borla exhaust(and I like the Borla sound/looks too!). Honestly, the GMMG is deeper and more refined both inside and outside the car. It is also every bit as loud as a Borla(again, I've had both). The GMMG sounds muscular, while the Borla has it's own unique rumble. Either way, you can't go wrong. But, if your gonna spend the big $$$, might as well go with the GMMG.
BTW...A few days ago I got to hear an '01 SS with the GMMG and FLP LT headers(highflow cats) and it was the best damn sounding LS1 I've ever heard at WOT. Sounded exactly like a true dual set-up to me.
