I would run catted. It will sound more crisp than raspy.

that is about the only place I know of to get it brand new. You can check the for sale section, or maybe E-bay. One lucky man found his for 75$ at a local junkyard.

If you don't run cats with your GMMG, you just wasted $700-850 on an exhaust.

HEHEHE. Yea, that was me and it was the best find of my life! I love that damn exhaust. I don't even listen to the radio/CD player anymore I just love listening to the GMMG. Worth it even if I had paid 700 bucks for it!

In my opinion (and many others agree), GMMG is one of those catbacks where if you choose to run LTs, a catted Y with it is a must. It just loses its great tone and sound a bit when the rasp of an ORY meets up with it. A catted Y will still be very loud, but will hold that special GMMG tone better.

If you spent the extra to get the GMMG, you should spend the extra for the catted Y.

CATS!

I had this exhaust with MIDLENGTHS and no cats and didnt like it. I went with Random Tech high flow cats and it sounded MEAN.

And you know, I JUST threw out a good set of random tech cats because I went true duals and didnt feel like hacking them off the y pipe.

Cats are a must, or you'll get a raspy waste of of money.

GMMG built the system to be used with cats..all their cars are fed emmisions legal and they build them with cats on them..the sound is much better with the cats..without cats you will get a lot of rasp ..

i raced a trans am last night that had long tube headers, NO cats and the gmmg, and it sounded like a bunch of ****, i recommend cats just because i know what it sounds like without cats, little bit more money to spend, but def. worth it

I run it with no cat. And it is very loud and raspy. But when I open the dual cut outs, it's a bad ****.
But my car is not a DD. It is a weekend worrier.
So I would say run cats as well.

I would like to try it with cats when I'm done drag racing it.

You have to call GMMG.inc. If you do paypal, send $700.00+3% or $850+3% (for premium tips) to GMMGINC4@aol.com, check and make sure that is still the paypal address by calling them. It sounds great, i would also leave the cats on, but long tubes are a good idea because with the rest of the exhaust stock (like mine) it just seems a little too quiet for my taste. So yeah, make sure and call them before you send money to that address, also make sure you follow up on your order about 3 days after to make sure they got your payment. Also, dont waste your time tring to find one on ebay or in a junkyard, believe me i've tried. To find a used one though a lot of guys sell their's because thay are going to true duals so you could try that too, but they still wont be cheap. My opinion, just buy it straight from the source so you know what you're getting.
