Indexing plugs......
AFAIK, you index the plugs so that the spark is directly facing the combustion chamber. Do you just put a mark on the plug somewhere that sticks out and just torque the plug to where it is facing the chamber? (without overtorquing or keeping it too loose..)

Face the open part of the plug towards the intake valve.
<strong> They have you on the right track. The easiest way is with an indexing kit (although I once did it buy buying up about 10 sets of plugs and trying them one by one 'till I found matches for each cylinder. I had the heads off the car at the time and it was STILL a biotch!)
