Default Exhaust Question

Alrighty since LS1.com is down and I've lurked here for over a year now I guess its time to start posting....

Now my question is actually pretty simple...

I am ordering QTP headers and the Merge Collectors from them...now can I run that to an H or X pipe to a GMMG exhaust or not? How exactly would it be set up...

I would really like to stick with the QTP headers and Merge but how do I get them to connect to a GMMG if I can at all??

If you want them to connect to a GMMG, then I believe you're going to have to stick with using a Y pipe.

So what Exhausts are H pipe friendly or do I have to make my own custom exhaust?

I believe you would either have to stick with a y-pipe or get true duals made. Use 2 bullets if you go with the true duals.

What is your LS1.com username

Its actually the same as it is on here....are you going to the gathering in Valley forge next sunday JB98Z28??

I think I just might...

I guess if I went with merge collectors and the whole header thing the Y-pipe would kind of defeat the gains I want huh...wonder what the horse difference is between a H/X pipe and True duals or a Y pipe with a reg old exhaust?

Why don't you just save up and get the QTP dual cutout y-pipe with the headers? That way you can run through a GMMG for cruising, then open up the cutouts and run basically open headers for the track? Granted, that'll be a pricey exhaust when all is said and done, but it sounds like it'll cover all your needs/wants.

Hmmm didn't really think about that...doesn't really seem like a bad idea at all...my car already has an slp ypipe so I don't need that...so on my list to buy than wouuld be qtp headers and merge collectors...qtp-cutout....and GMMG exhaust...I don't even wanna see the total on this
